Alzheimer's & Dementia Care
Caring for a person with Alzheimer's disease at home is a difficult task and can become overwhelming at times. Let us help you and your loved one with our specially trained CareGiver's.
There are close to 6 million people that are living with Alzheimer's disease in North America today. Alzheimer's is the most common type of dementia. More than half of all dementia cases are "diagnosed" as Alzheimer's disease. Currently, there is no cure for the disease. Due to continued research, there are treatments that have significantly helped many by delaying the progression of the disease.
Training is provided to our CareGivers by a trainer certified by the Alzheimer's Association. Our CareGivers are equipped with knowledge and materials so they may help your loved ones get through daily tasks in their own homes. Being involved with various activities can help improve people's self esteem while maintaining their dignity. Our CareGivers take the time to get to know your loved ones so that they can stay involved with meaningful activities. They recognize the importance of understanding that every person and situation is different, therefore providing the appropriate care specific to your needs. The CareGivers can help with:
- Communication
- Meal planning and preparation
- Activities (Walks, games, puzzles, crafts, etc.)
- Transportation (Doctor Appointments, shopping, etc.)
Our goal is to assist people so that they may be able to stay safely in their own home. Our CareGivers are selected so they can help individuals and families cope with this disease.
